Twelve peer-reviewed papers, mostly on evolutionary robotics: robots whose bodies and brains both evolve, and the learning that has to happen in between.

The through-line is learning under embodiment: an algorithm that works on paper still has to run on a specific body, on specific hardware, in real time. That constraint is the reason most of this work exists — and the reason it transfers cleanly to industrial systems, which have the same problem in different clothes.
